Sessa Orchid Sanctuary is a protected area in the Himalayan foothills in Bhalukpong Forest Division of West Kameng District, Arunachal Pradesh. It is spread over 100 sqkm. It is a part of the Kameng Protected Area Complex (KPAC), which is an Elephant Reserve.

About Sessa :

Sessa Orchid Sanctuary, sprawling over an area of 100 sq.km, is one of the most popular sanctuaries located in Arunachal Pradesh. This sanctuary houses around 200 species of exotic orchids, of which 5 belong to endemic species. In addition, the sanctuary is home to several animals such as pheasant, red panda, goral and crows along with some of the endangered species of animals.

Airport : The nearest airport is Tezpur which has a biweekly Indian Airlines flight to Kolkata.

Railhead : The nearest railway head is at Bhalukpong. One can easily reach Sessa from here by bus or taxi.

Road Transport : Sessa can be approached from Bhalukpong/Tipi and is well connected by bus and taxis to Itanagar and Tezpur.
