Dibang valley named after the dibang river, originates in the mountains and flows through the length of the valley. The valley is divided into upper valley and lower valley, The upper valley doesn’t have much attractions but lower valley offers unique attraction for everyone- tourists, nature lovers, adventure anthropologists, and wildlife photographers.
About Dibang Valley :
The Dibang Valley is a district of Arunachal Pradesh named after the Dibang river or the Talon as the Idus call it. The river originates in the mountains of China and flows through the length of the valley, named after it. The major population of this district consist of the Adis (padams) and the idus.The district has been divided further into lower and upper Dibang Valley for administrative convenience.The headquarters of the two districts are Roing and Anini respectively. Roing is a newborn town in the plains of the Mishmi hills. It is a beautiful place with picturesque nature and beautiful climate. However Anini is a hilly place lying in the mountains close to the frontiers of China.

Dibang Valley, a district of Arunachal Pradesh has been released by Directorate of Census Operations in Arunachal Pradesh. Enumeration of key persons was also done by census officials in Dibang Valley District of Arunachal Pradesh.
Dibang Valley had population of 7,948 of which male and female were 4,396 and 3,552 respectively. In 2001 census, Dibang Valley had a population of 7,272 of which males were 4,286 and remaining 2,986 were females. Dibang Valley District population constituted 0.57 percent of total Maharashtra population. In 2001 census, this figure for Dibang Valley District was at 0.66 percent of Maharashtra population.
History :
In June 1980, Dibang Valley district was created out of part of Lohit district. On December 16, 2011, Dibang Valley district was bifurcated into Upper Dibang Valley district and Lower Dibang Valley district.
