About Shree Rokadia Hanumaji Temple in Gujarat :
Bhagwan (Lord) Shri Sahajanad Swami was in spiritual journey to change the perception of humans towards their inner self. He visited Anand in the aftermath of one of his encounters with his disciples at Umreth hamlet. The Lord chose a holy pond known as Shikhod Talav to enter the city along with other Seers, Bachelors and other royal attendants. He was accompanied by Jobanpagi Vadtala, a notorious thief in the Gaekwad and Saurashtra areas. However, he was converted into an ardent follower with the divine blessings of Lord Sahajanand Swami. Eventually, Jobanpagi got relieved of robbery and became a worshipper or Bhagwan Swaminarayan.
People who were jealous of Lord Sahajanand Swami used to talk harshly and throw dung at him and other seers. Shriji Maharaj forgave such people with his eventual grace. Later, he came in the orchard belonging to Anandgiri Gossai to carry water from the well for saints like Mulji Bramchari in order to bathe Shriji Maharaj.
After consuming water, the Lord conducted a divine convention. The holy well could be seen at Hanumanji temple even today along with the stone, which is seen as a symbol of godly bliss seating. It is on the same stone on which Lord Sahajanand Swami had bath and remains in the same condition. Anandgiri Gosai gifted his orchard to Shriji Maharaj. Meanwhile Hanuman Dada was discovered with the earnest efforts of Bhagwan Sahajand Swami and Satguru Swami Gopalananji.
Shree Rokadia Hanumaji Temple History :
Shriji Maharaj ordered other saints and followers to make the holy place as a worshipping spot. Acharya Viharilalji Maharaj resided at the place for a brief period during which the people of Anand respected him much and offered stay at their respective homes. The place is now known as Rokadiya Dev Hanumanji Maharaj Temple after Lord Hanuman, also known as Rokadiya Dev, has represented himself as a reflection of truth. It is believed that the Lord will satisfy the truthful wants of the worshippers. The holy place is said to be a victorious spot for Vadtal Panch, the famous Tirth of Shri Swaminarayan Sect
How To Reach Shree Rokadia Hanumaji Temple :
From Anand city bus stop or railway station, worshippers can hire auto rickshaws for nominal fares to reach Shree Rokadiya Dev Hanumanji Maharaj Temple. The government of Gujarat plies GSRTC buses at regular intervals to and from the temple. Direct buses are also available from Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar areas.
